POSITION OVERVIEW

The On-Call Reception position will cover Cheslatta Carrier Nation’s receptionist duties when our primary Receptionist is on leave. This role manages the front desk and performs a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. As the first point of contact for Cheslatta Carrier Nation, duties include welcoming visitors, handling inquiries, distributing correspondence, redirecting phone calls, and offering administrative support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office

  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office

  • Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls

  • Ensure reception area is tidy, presentable, and stocked with all necessary stationary and material

  • Provide basic, accurate information in-person and via phone/email

  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, and faxing

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven work experience as a receptionist or similar

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs

  • Solid written and verbal communication skills

  • Excellent organization skills, multitasking, and time management

  • Grade 12 or equivalent: certificate in Office Administration as asset

  • Knowledge of Cheslatta Carrier Nation’s traditions and culture an asset

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

This is an on-call temporary position located at Cheslatta Carrier Nation on the Southside. Compensation is competitive and commensurate to education and experience.
